I thought I would always want an Apple Watch or a Fitbit but nothing caught my eye quite like this watch.
STYLISH! Classic! Beautiful!
It does everything I need- counts steps, monitors heart rate, notifications for calls and texts (which vibration), customize the backgrounds of the watch, and is perfect in every way!
I haven’t charged my battery in close to three weeks- battery life is jaw- dropping

Looks great but steps are way off so I just divide by 3. Also there isn’t a manual I had to figure it out for myself. Still don’t know how to put music on, you can go to Fossil site but still not much help! I wanted a watch that did my steps without looking like a fitbit I can receive my text email etc but I cant reply or at least I don’t know how as there isn’t a manual

It is not a blue face. I was bummed! It is black.

Was what was advertised and more. Easy to set up and enjoy it. Stylish and gorgeous.

The watch itself is beautiful, fits my small wrist very comfortably, and has a fantastic battery life (close to 10 days).
The watch functions great as a watch but it is not particularly smart.
Perhaps the most accurate feature is the heart rate monitor.
The sleep is rarely accurate but tends to be close enough. However, on days when it is off (and typically WAY off when it happens), there’s no way to edit.
The workout tracking is also pretty dismal. It nowhere near matches the metrics of my Peloton.
An app update also recently took away yoga as a workout but kept rowing machine? Come on now, how many people are using a rowing machine daily in comparison to yoga.
And speaking of that app update- I was initially excited to see it bc the app itself is extremely lack luster but it made it WORSE.
The best customization features for the watch face were taken away and you have far less choices. Apparently this was done to save memory space? That’s what customer service told me. Again, a total miss.
In regard to phone syncing, it will tell you when you get a call, text, or notification from approved apps but you can’t interact w them in anyway.
You can turn music up/down, pause, skip- but you have to be quite near your phone for it to pick up these notifications and options, so most of the time doing it on the phone is just more ideal and easier.
There doesn’t appear to be any features in the works that will make much of a difference anytime soon. Fossil just isn’t a leader in smart watch innovation. They’re regular watch people in a smart world, trying to keep their brand relevant. They’d be better off sticking w what they know.
All in all- it’s a pretty and sturdy watch.
It may keep you from reaching for your phone quite as much w some features.
It is not comparable to fitness watches, at all, especially when factoring in the price point.
While I find Apple watches to be an eyesore, I’m switching to the SE for my needs.

I got this watch 9 days ago. It arrived with a broken band (still waiting on refund for the band so I can buy a new one)
But the three knobs also don’t work. So if the watch asks you a question, or you need to go to settings or use the watch at all, the knobs don’t work

I’m learning to love this watch. At first I was skeptical and there are still a few small hiccups, but for the most part, this watch and I are bonding well. I held out for a long time getting a smart watch because I don’t like the “look” and also don’t want to be controlled by my phone. This definitely solves both of those issues. I didn’t like the silver watch band, so I bought this leather one from a different vendor (accidentally put it on backwards 🤦🏼♀️)
Here are some of my pros and cons:
Pros:
– is great for my tiny wrists (I was debating between the Monroe or the Charter, but the charter is a few mm thicker – although I like the thicker watch band on the charter, I’m glad I went with the smaller watch face)
– the look is very stylish and classy
– tracks exercise
– is comfortable for exercising and sleeping, lightweight
– battery lasts like 12 days and charges in an hour
– tracks sleep (deep/light/awake)
– the face is super easy to customize and you can create a few different face profiles for easy switching on the app (so you can switch it to say different things while exercising for example)
– the buttons are customizable and have a wide range of options
– the support and help on the app is really quick and helpful and easy to talk directly to a real person
– uses phone GPS to tie into exercises
– accurate heart rate monitor
– the hands are glow in the dark for a little while after turning off the lights
Cons:
– the wrist flick, hands moving around to better see the screen works like 75% of the time.
– the double tap to activate the light also works like 75% of the time.
– the range away from my phone is very short – if I’m in the bathroom 20 feet from my phone, they stop communicating.
– the exercise feature can be really annoying while running in the city. Every time I stop at a street intersection it asks if I’m still working out and I can either say “yes, keep tracking” or “no, stop tracking”. There’s not a pause feature. So I just ignore it, but it gets old after going through so many intersections.
– it’s taken a little getting used to navigating all the options with the 3 buttons, but I’ve gotten the hang of it and it’s pretty user friendly.
– there aren’t a lot of watch band options (had to find a third party option) or screen protector options (going to make my own with contact paper)

This is a nice looking watch compared to many other fitness trackers, however, I do not recommend. The step count is much higher than what you’re actually walking, which was my main reason for purchase. I also found the app not user friendly and was a pain to get figured out. I am returning and going back to my Fitbit.

I have only had my watch for several days–still working on how the buttons work. BUT, I have two tips to offer to other buyers: First, in order to trigger the light to illuminate the watch face, you must double tap on the face of the watch. However this does not work consistently. To make it work every time, use TWO FINGERS and double tap. Second, if you have a watch with a mesh band, which I find to be very handsome and like a lot, you will not be able to adjust the length without instructions! Search ‘How to adjust mesh band on Fossil watch’ on your browser—this will take you to several videos, but the best is the longest one you can find.

I’ve been searching for a new circular watch instead of a square like Fitbit or Apple Watch. This one is really pretty and has the features that I want like step count and reminders to move. I don’t like that if you get a long text or notification that you can’t keep scrolling to read the whole thing. Also, the middle button is difficult to push. It also doesn’t come with a full manual which would be more helpful, it’s probably online somewhere though.

This is a gorgeous watch. Wish I could have kept it. I have an extremely thin wrist and was hoping I could easily adjust this to fit, you cannot adjust unless you remove links. In my case, it would have been too many. The watch, as it arrived, was so large it slipped off my wrist without even opening the closure. So if you have a small wrist, as I do, this is not for you. Wish I would have fit because I loved it. Am getting another style and hoping for a better fit!
